National Masters News also gave a great recap of our Team’s placing!

“The New Balance Tampa Masters Racing Team was formed in the summer and came on strong in the autumn to take fourth place, only ten points back from Atlanta. They
won the Masters 5K XC and finished second at both Syracuse and Club XC. They hope to
shake things up next year with a full year’s worth of racing.”

Age Grading: Trish Butler, 54, and Susan ‘Lynn’ Cooke, 57, helped the New Balance Tampa Club make a nice splash by claiming their first age-grading medals, in second and third with an 89.3 and 87.4.

Age Divisions: Trish Butler 3rd place in the Women 50-54. Lynn Cooke was the 55-59 Champion with 20:27.2

As a team, New Balance Tampa, “the new women’s team on the block took the women’s 50 and up title”.!

“Women’s 50+

Two long-time contenders in the Grand Prix series, the Atlanta Track
Club and the Genesee Valley Harriers were going toe-to-toe again but this time they had to worry about a newcomer, the New Balance Tampa team. Established with considerable fanfare this summer, this would be Tampa’s first venture as a team in a Cross Country Championship. They got off to a good start with Trish Butler bringing home the first team place.”…

“Tampa showed it was no one-woman show as they took the next two spots with Lynn Cooke in third, 12 seconds back from Hayden and Michelle Allen in fourth, a half minute after Cooke. And that wrapped up their scoring. It was not a perfect score but it was a dominating win as Tampa had eight points.”
